Call to Artists: Roseville Arts Center's 33rd Annual Membership Show

The Roseville Arts Center invites all artists to enter its 33nd Annual Membership Show to be held at the 405 Gallery, 405 Vernon Street in downtown Roseville,opening January 17, 2004.  Artists Gayle Rappaport-Weiland and David Lobenberg have been invited to select winners to receive more than $500 in awards. TheArtists in Action show will invite exhibiting artists to bring their studio into the gallery—demonstrating their techniques for the visiting public.

All artwork meeting entry rules will be accepted into the show. Artists must be members of the Roseville Arts Center and may join at the time of receiving. As part of the Roseville Arts Center's membership drive between now and April 1, 2004, everyone joining or renewing membership at this time will be acknowledged in a special newspaper advertisement. Each artist is allowed up to three entries at $10 each. Size limitations are listed on the entry forms.

The Arts Center will be receiving entries at the 405 Gallery, 405 Vernon Street in Roseville, on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, 2004, 11am – 3pm. The exhibit will open the evening of January 17 and run through March 5.

Rappaport-Weiland, known for her contributions to local arts, education and business communities, works prolifically in watercolor techniques and teaches adults and children in a diverse list of venues throughout Northern California. Lobenberg, an illustrator and watercolor artist who owns and operates a successful design studio in Sacramento, has had work reproduced for numerous organizations and events in the Sacramento area, including the Sacramento Kings and the Jazz Jubilee.

Entry forms are available through pick up, mail or e-mail. Pick up a form at the Roseville Arts Center's Haman House, 424 Oak Street (Tues-Fri, 11am-3pm) or 405 Gallery, 405 Vernon Street in Roseville (Tues. –Sat., 11am-3pm).
